Tessa Sanderson CBE is a 6 Times Olympian and winner of a Gold Medal at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. She is currently still the only British Woman to ever win a throwing Gold Medal.


Tesss is also a 3 time Commonwealth Gold Medalist and has been awarded the MBE, OBE and in 2004 was awarded the CBE for her services to Sport.


Tessa was a TEAM GB Ambassador for the London 2012 Games and currently runs her own sports academy - The Tessa Sanderson Foundation and Academy



Tessa has made various appearances on TV and the Media. Appearances include Dancing On Ice Goes Gold (Pictured), Celebrity masterchef, Antiques Road Trip, Great British Menu, Mr & Mrs, Cash in the Attic and Pointless as well as fronting Jamaican TV`s morning coverage of the 2012 Games. 

Tessa is often asked to speak at events and make personal appearances - from school presentations to larger conferences and awards evenings.Her motivational presentation "Path to Glory" covers her story from School days through to winning her Olympic Gold Medal and beyond. The presentation touches upon her inspirations and what drove her to become an Olympic Champion, and takes a light-hearted look at her rivalry with Fatima Whitbread.

The Tessa Sanderson Foundation and Academy is a charity organisation to help assist young people in sport, towards a healthier lifestyle and through physical activity, together with building confidence and a social wellbeing whilst still in education
